The Purpose of the Marriage Class
The purpose of the Marriage Class at Newark Church of Christ is to strengthen and encourage couples to remain united. We guide couples to keep their hearts and minds centered on God and to faithfully walk in their God-given assignments, both as individuals and as partners.
With God and love as the firm foundation, couples are guided by the timeless truth of Scripture. The class reinforces biblical principles that equip couples to thrive, even in the midst of life’s storms.
Building a Strong and Lasting Foundation
In our classes, couples learn essential skills to build a strong and resilient relationship:
Compassionate Listening: Couples learn to listen to one another with compassion.
Forgiveness: We reinforce the importance of extending forgiveness.
Believing the Best: The class helps couples believe the best in each other.
Meeting Needs: Couples are guided to intentionally meet each other’s needs.
